MAURICE BLAIR SPEAKS!
Maurice Blair is the author of "From No Where to Now Here" (a motivational and inspirational book) and has served in the educational sector for more than 15 years and began embarking upon the professional speaking circuit in 1999; he is also employed with the West Memphis School District at the Academies of West Memphis. Being able to travel with such an amazing message of practical life application principles has been very rewarding. In addition to public speaking engagements, Mr. Blair hosted the Maurice Blair Talk Show “L.E.A.D.” for 16 years on the Public Access Channel 17 in Memphis, Tennessee where the viewership ranked very high. He has been afforded opportunities to speak across the country, speaking to groups from fifty to up to fifteen hundred.
Mr. Blair is a member of the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and a member of Toastmasters International, a world-wide speaking organization. He was honored in RoadKing Magazine in their January 1998 edition for his awareness of "how important it is to keep fit while on the road", and was featured a second time as the cover story of their national magazine in September 2015.
Mr. Blair has mentored students and led several workshops throughout the West Memphis, AR School District, Shelby County School District in Memphis, TN and Greenville Public School District located in Greenville, MS. He was the 2016 Educator of the Year recipient at the West Memphis High School. His passion for speaking allowed him to be the winner of the 2007 District 43 Toastmaster Speaking Competition. His passion for people has driven him to make a continuous impact on the community by supporting organizational groups and events such as March of Dimes, Boy Scouts of America, the Good Neighbor Center and a host of community programs.
